Shekou Port is located at the southern end of the Shekou Peninsula, Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on the east bank of the Pearl River Estuary. It is connected with Guangxi; it connects with the South China Highway via Shugang Avenue by land, and connects with the Beijing-Kowloon Railway via the port railway and then with the national railway network; 30 kilometers away from Shenzhen International Airport. The annual throughput capacity is 15 million tons, the annual throughput capacity of containers is 500,000 TEUs, and the annual passenger throughput capacity is 5 million.
Shekou Port can berth 10 ships of more than 10,000 ton class at the same time, and the largest berth of 100,000-ton bulk carriers. The anchorage can reliably berth 125,000-ton bulk carriers. It is an important food and building material distribution center and domestic trade container in South China. Transit port and owns the largest passenger terminal in Shenzhen.
Due to the geographical location of Shekou Port and the introduction of modern machinery, a large number of goods and products are dispensed from Shekou Port.
